Mosaic photograph of Samuel, who posed remotely. The image is composed of three mosaics with low- medium and high definition tiles sliced and reassembled using my own algorithm.
Once the image has been sliced to create the three sizes of tiles, they are stacked with the largest tiles on the top, the medium-sized tiles below, and the smallest tiles on the bottom. The stacks are selectively deconstructed to reveal increasing levels of detail.
This image was selected for inclusion in Firstsite gallery’s Voyager 2000: Worldbeing and Wonder exhibition in summer 2025. The photo below shows the image in situ as part of the exhibition.
