Seaton posed remotely from Australia (I was in the UK). This was one of several images from a very varied session, which I converted to black and white before slicing it and calculating the relative brightness of each section.
I used this information to build a spreadsheet showing which characters should be typed in each location to recreate the original photo. In some places, up to three characters are stacked on top of each other to achieve the required density.
