This was the first portrait I ever typed. It is A2, and was produced on the manual Imperial typewriter you can see in the main photo.
The photo on which it is based was sliced into tiny squares so that the relative brightness of each one could be used to calculate which characters needed to be typed in each location. It took around a month to type.
